District Training Assembly is held once every Rotary year to prepare incoming club leaders for their year in office, network with club leaders and enjoy fellowship with Rotarians. Here are the top 10 things we learned at District Training Assembly: “There’s a great new educational leadership program called The Rotary Leadership Institute. Anyone can go, it’s $25. Visit scnrli.org to sign up.” – Geri Rohrberg, President-Elect “Each club that makes a donation to the APF Share fun can sponsor a Rotaractor or Interactor in the District to apply for a $5,000 District Scholarship.” – Rachel Diehl, Immediate Past President & PR Chair “I learned a lot about the responsibilities of a treasurer. It definitely helped me prepare for my year in office.” – Anne Alipon, Incoming Treasurer “I learned that we are not alone… the other new gen club in our district, San Gabriel Valley, is exactly like us.” – Phil Bailey, President-Elect-Elect “The DacDb training gave me insight on ways our club can more effectively utilize this software for attendance, correspondence, membership and dues.” – Lyzel Krebs, Secretary “There will be no District Governor’s project this year. Randy would rather we spend the money we’ve budgeted on a local project of our club’s choice.” – Geri Rohrberg, Incoming President “District Assembly opened my eyes to see the bigger picture of Rotary, all the avenues of service and its impact on the...
